LadyBud Magazine Founder Diane Fornbacher

LadyBud Magazine Founder Diane Fornbacher speaks with Kyle Kushman about her backstory and her tireless work in grassroots and national drug policy reform.

PTSD and cannabis use is covered extensively in the media, however out of 23 states that have legalized marijuana for medicinal use, only five include PTSD as a qualifying condition.

This is a MAJOR problem. Many people don’t realize that there’s another HUGE group out there who can AND DO benefit from the medicinal use of marijuana: non-military related trauma survivors.

This group of people are often diagnosed with an alternative version of PTSD, commonly referred to as Complex-PTSD.
Made up of mostly women, they are survivors of sexual violence, childhood adversity and other traumatic experiences…in the case of our very special guest today, had a childhood in which she had only herself to depend upon to survive.

In addition to being a wife and mother, Diane Fornbacher is the founder and publisher of Ladybud Magazine….a NORML board member…co-founder of the NORML Women’s Alliance…and a Member of the Board at the Coalition for Medical Marijuana New Jersey. She’s been fighting for the right to use cannabis for almost two decades.
