Kevin Sabet’s UN Presentation On Legalization Alternatives Presented None

NEW YORK, New York – I attended the final side event scheduled in the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on Drugs, billed as Alternative Legal Regimes For Cannabis.

Kevin Sabet's UN Presentation

A presentation on alternative legal regimes for cannabis where absolutely no alternatives were presented.

Organized by Kevin Sabet, the CEO of Project SAM (Smart Approaches to Marijuana), the presentation brought together many notables from the side of anti-marijuana legalization and prevention, including Will Jones from Two Is Enough DC (the anti-legalization campaign that lost in Washington, DC), Prof. LeNoue from the University of Colorado-Denver, and Maria Renström from the World Health Organization.

The Joker to my Batman, Kevin Sabet.

Notably absent from the presentation was any discussion of alternative legal regimes for cannabis. What was brought up was how marijuana is infused into candy that kids might like, black people don’t want pot shops in their neighborhoods, and Colorado leads the nation in terrible pot statistics, like having more teens that smoke pot, get expelled, and stoned drivers who wreck their cars and die on today’s super-potent pot.

Maria Renström from WHO began the presentation with collected global statistics. I noted the main points via Twitter (use the time-stamps to help navigate the playback.)

The new tagline for the Kinder, Gentler Drug War. Notice how there’s no option to just leave us alone.

Next, Kevin Sabet took the mic and rushed through his stock presentation on how Big Marijuana is coming to addict your kids to demon weed and crush their IQs, hopes, and dreams.

States that will legalize marijuana after Project SAM began.

Note: This may be the one thing he said I can sort of agree with.

Next up was Will Jones from Two Is Enough DC, which refers to the two legal drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Because if you’re only going to give people two legal options, make sure they’re the deadliest two.

Spanning the globe to fight the constant insanity of prohibition!

Finally, we heard from Prof. Sean LeNoue from the University of Colorado-Denver who rushed through some marijuana-related statistics from Colorado, which, apparently, is overrun by pot zombies since legalization.

Hm, Kevin, looks like that marijuana prohibition STILL doesn’t work!
